Front Cover

This is the front cover of my music magazine, which i feel could be improved the most. I think the use of colour and font is very good, and has all the aspects needed to attract my target audience. However i do feel there is something missing that doesn't give it a proffesional look. I think that this could be because of the fact that the images used are not the actual characters from High School Musical. However here is the original front cover i created that i feel is a whole lot better and definetly has the right style and front cover look to attract my target audience.
I had to recreate my original cover and although i think i managed to capture the original images quite well, these were what added the proffesional look to my front cover. Therefore i decided to show both front covers produced to show what i would like my final outcome to look like when the magazine would be published.
I think that the layout of my magazine cover works really well in drawing in the readers attention. The dominant image is Zac Efron who is of cours
e the main character of High School Musical, which to my target audience would be immediately recognisable and would definetly catch their eye.
The surrounding images are of the other main characters which would also be immediately recognised, i decided to use images of the characters (Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel) not facing the camera directly because this gives the i
mages a more realistic effect, and stops the images from looking posed and rather like they were taken from real life.
I decided not to use a plain white background because the pink tint stops it from looking unproffesional and also adds enough colour without the background dominating the other images and text in the cover i have produced.
